SEAS has more than 50 full-time faculty members and more than a dozen research centers, institutes, and initiatives that further enable SEAS to tackle the impacts of climate change, advance research, and promote environmental justice—while forging new community partnerships.
SEAS is located in the Samuel Trask Dana building, which was Gold Leed Certified by the US Green Building Council in 2005. It was the first major renovation of an academic building to receive such a high rating for sustainable construction in Michigan and among the first in the nation.

Athletics

Ann Arbor

Within walking distance of the Dana Building is the newly renovated University of Michigan Museum of Natural History.
The Matthaei Botanical Gardens, with a conservatory building and walking trails to explore, offers beautiful green scenery even during cold Michigan winters. Closer to campus, you can find the Nichols Arboretum with its beautiful peony garden that blooms in warmer months.
Ann Arbor is known for its art and music offerings. Check University of Michigan Arts & Culture to find upcoming performances on campus, or learn about exciting events and exhibits happening at the University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA).
