Scott C. Bertschy, Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations
Join the more than 2,000 alumni who have made a financial contribution to SEAS in the last five years. Your support propels our students and faculty forward to address complex problems and create a more sustainable, just world.
Annual Fund
Each year, 100% of the school's Annual Fund is used to provide direct student support and other student enrichment investments.
Emergency Student Funding
This fund provides assistance to SEAS students that experience a sudden and unanticipated financial need. Circumstances could include health, family, and other related hardships that have a significant impact on the individual's financial situation.
Dr. Carroll B. Williams Fund for Black Excellence
This fund, providing student fellowship support, honors the legacy of the first African American scholar to graduate from SEAS, Dr. Carroll B. Williams, and seeks to remove barriers for future scholars following in his footsteps, as demonstrated by their volunteering at diversity-focused organizations or their graduation from an HBCU.
PitE Student Support
This fund provides immediate support for undergraduate Program in the Environment students, allowing them access to real world experiences and a robust curriculum.
SEAS Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Fellowship
This fund supports DEI Fellowships meant to grow and benefit the SEAS student body by providing financial support for outstanding students who are experiencing barriers that might impede their academic success or participation.
Career Services Internship Support
Internships are a crucial part in a student’s professional development and expose them to learning opportunities not available in the classroom. This fund provides support to open doors for graduate students to undertake a wide range of valuable internships.
Curriculum and Program Support
SEAS leads the way in interdisciplinary, scalable, and impact-driven environmental solutions. To transform students into empowered sustainability experts, the SEAS curriculum combines traditional classroom learning with innovative teaching and research methods. By supporting program innovation, you can help increase the number of courses that leverage real world experiences and provide students with skills and knowledge that give them a competitive advantage in the workplace.
Faculty and Research Support
Through teaching and research, our faculty are passionate educators and the force behind much of our success in the sustainability arena. Your support enables faculty to lead investigations in the natural sciences, social sciences, design, and engineering to benefit the environment.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Program
Providing support to the DEI activities being undertaken at SEAS opens our programs up to a wider array of students, including historically underrepresented populations.
Named Fellowships/Student Scholarships
Provide endowed or immediately expendable support for students. Forty-six percent of our students currently receive some form of financial assistance. We would like to double that number. SEAS has over 100 named endowments. Consider leaving your own legacy.
Student Organizations
Student organizations and internships complement coursework for students by providing them with real-word experiences and connections.
Facilities and Equipment
Contributions may be designated to facilities upkeep and enhancements. This means keeping the century-old, LEED gold certified Samuel T. Dana Building humming with the latest technology and resources to support our community.
