Marc E. Gaden
About
Marc Gaden is the Executive Secretary of the Great Lakes Fishery Commission, a binational, treaty-based organization that works to improve and perpetuate the fishery that Canada and the United States share. Dr. Gaden's research interests include the human dimensions of natural resource management; cross-border conflict; governance, agreements, regimes, and institutions to address conflict; collaborative management; natural resource politics and policy; and environmental history. He teaches Environ 306: Global Water, which focuses on water management issues on a global scale, with an emphasis on water-related issues such as population growth, urbanization, infrastructure, flood control, pollution, food security, energy, technology, human rights and safety, governance, and climate change. Dr. Gaden is the faculty advisor for Michigan Fishing. He also serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Michigan State University.
