The goal of the project is to document, assist in, and promote island restoration efforts including the
removal of non-native herbivores from unique and biodiverse Aegean islands to protect their
endemic diversity. Ultimately the project will build knowledge and capacity to implement long-term
island conservation. Students will hence engage in real-world strategic conservation planning
essential to this region and transferable to many other island and vulnerable ecosystems.
