The intent of this masters project is to research and articulate a long-term vision and plan for the Historic Pier Cove Ravine, a 76-acre preserve near Fennville, MI in Southwest Michigan, near the sandy shores of Lake Michigan. Protecting and rejuvenating a historic arboretum requires both a clear vision as well as flexibility for managing the property as ecological conditions and societal needs change.
