Envisioning ‘Āina Momona
Our team's project has been focused on collaboration and support with Sust'āinable Molokai, a Native Hawaiian-led non-profit, on land back and food sovereignty projects. Our land back work stream involves research and analyses to support pathways toward land rematriation on Molokai while also being informed by land use planning documents from the community. Our food sovereignty work stream focuses on the creations of a food resiliency hub to enhance food security and revive traditional foodways through completion of a community needs assessment, site evaluations, and development of landscape designs for the food hub.
