In this capstone project, we are specifically interested in understanding the techno-economic feasibility of green hydrogen applications for the power sector in India. For example, green hydrogen could be used for energy storage applications, bridging renewable intermittent, backup power for grid stability, or co-firing ammonia in coal plans to reduce overall greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. These applications are not 2030 policy priorities but could have a place on the path to achieving net-zero emissions in the long term.
