SEAS professor Richard Rood gave a talk at a National Science Foundation webinar on April 18, 2022, as part of their Earth Day Celebration. In the talk, Rood discusses strategies for tackling some of the issues of climate change. Specifically, the talk addresses the hopelessness many feel when they hear that we have until 2030 to solve the problems or face catastrophe, which Rood says is not a very useful message. He emphasizes the importance of having knowledgeable climate champions in all professions to lead the transformation to living in a rapidly changing climate.
